Exclusively breastfeeding is best for babies. Introducing partial bottle feeding may adversely affect breastfeeding by reducing the supply of breast milk. If you are considering using bottles and teats to offer expressed breast milk (EBM) to your baby or introducing partial bottle feeding, it is important in the first instance, to discuss your plan with the health professional(s) caring for you & your baby.
Unimom nipple formers are a non invasive breastfeeding aid to help gently prepare flat or inverted nipples for breastfeeding. The soft, flexible silicone membrane applies gentle pressure to draw the nipple out.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE- Assemble the former cover with the membrane.
- Place the nipple former inside your bra with the airway holes on the upper side.
- Place the membrane hole on the center of the nipple.
- These can be worn from 7 months of pregnancy and in-between feeds postpartum.
OTHER INFORMATION
Each former comes with an internal absorption sponge to stop leakage to clothing.
WASHING: Wash all with Unimom bottle wash and hot water. Rinse with boiling water and leave to drip dry. Squeeze sponge out once cooled.
*Do not use microwave steriliser
